Proverbs 3:5-7, 5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
In our desire to be more like Christ, we sometimes forget the actual life of Christ. The journey from life to death to life. We sometime get caught up in Christ Resurrection and not want to deal with the death and the burial. That's where I believe we stumble into conflict because before there can be a Resurrection, there has to first be a death followed by a burial.
I was conversing with a dear friend of mine a while back and we were talking about broken hearts. And she stated, "how can you love God with all of your heart if it's broken"? So I ask you, how can you celebrate the Resurrection of Christ without acknowledging the death and the burial?
Need a better example? Okay, look into your life for a second. How many times, in your own understanding have you celebrated the Resurrection of a promise before you died and buried the things that were hindering you from receiving it?
Trust in the Lord with ALL you heart and lean NOT UNTO YOUR OWN understanding, but in ALL THY WAYS acknowledge Him as He shall direct thy paths. And we all just stop there. but what about the next verse? Be NOT wise in thine OWN eyes: FEAR the Lord, and Depart from evil. And just for clarity the type of fear described in this particular text is Respect/Reverence.
Have a great day and I love you all!!!!!
