As many of you may know that I am on a greater journey of to become more intimate in my relationship with our Heavenly Father by strengthening my relationship with Christ. I came across this prayer that at first made me think about, and actually it is written for, women who have a hard time being pursued intimately by their husbands.
Then immediately I was reminded that I am the bride of Christ and these struggle of intimacy that a natural women may have with their husbands, I sometimes have with Christ. How many times, men, has the Lord pulled at us to spend time with us and we were either too busy or too tired?
Although this prayer is directed towards women, I use it to challenge men everywhere. Take time out to for your groom. Don't be a bride that is too busy or too tired to engage in moments of intimacy. Because it is those very moments, when shared, that can bring you closer together. Likewise, if neglected can draw you further apart. I love you all! Have a phenomenal Day
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for today and thank You for my husband. I pray that I would have a strong desire for my husband. I love him so much and I want our marriage to be fulfilled in every way! As much as I want to enjoy physical intimacy with him, the desire is not always there. I pray for all wives who struggle with desiring their husbands and pursing them passionately. Infuse our hearts with an overwhelming desire for our husbands, help us to initiate physical intimacy and fulfill our marriages in every way in Jesus’ name AMEN!
