Words Unspoken

Life & Death are in the power of the tongue so I urge you to be swift to listen and slow to speak        (proverbs 18:21 & James 1:19)

I look at you and wonder..
Are you a manifestation of my prayers
or a result of a curse?
Did I not let patience have it's perfect works?

I have sown many seeds
that have produced me a harvest
yet I remember the old man saying
to be ware of the harlot.

I have been punished for the sin I've caused
and  I just want all of it to end!
There many unspoken words to my book
yet those chapters I refuse to let be read.

I trust in the Lord with all of my heart
well not really because my heart it broken and shared.
And I've tried to relocate the pieces a couple of times
but every time I look the results come up bare.

How can you love your neighbor as you love yourself
when yourself you don't even love.
And how can you wash me down with the water of the word
when your well is all dried up?

These are words that go unspoken at the bottom of my heart
as I consistently stare into your eyes.
I hear what you are saying
when words from your lip
yet I understand more the words you wrote on those lines .

To everything there is a time and place under the sun
a time for hearts to be broken
a time for love to be won

A time for laughter...
A time for pain ...
A time for forgiveness and the removal of shame.

A time to confess the pain in your heart.

A time to hold on and a time to depart.

A time to come to grip with the mistakes that you've made

A time to decided to never make those mistakes again.

When I look at you and wonder..
Are you a manifestation of my prayers
or a result of a curse?
Did I not let patience have it's perfect works?

I have sown many seeds
that have produced me a harvest
yet I remember the old man saying
to be ware of the harlot.
